TIMIO Chrome Extension

  • Refresh the Page
    Reload the page and relaunch TIMIO. This resolves most temporary glitches.
  • Check the Site
    Some websites block extensions or load heavy scripts that delay processing. Try TIMIO on a different site to compare performance.
  • Paste into Google Docs
    Copy the article or text and paste it into a Google Doc. Run TIMIO there for faster, smoother results.
  • Close Unused Tabs
    TIMIO is lightweight, but Chrome is not. Free up memory by closing unnecessary tabs or background apps.
  • Still not working?
    Email us at support@timio.news with a screenshot and link to the page. We'll take it from there.

The plus icon (used to open AI tools) only appears after the entire page is finishes loading—this includes ads and third-party scripts.

We’re currently working on a fix, but in the meantime:

  • Use an Ad Blocker
    Ad-heavy pages are the most common cause. Installing an ad blocker usually resolves this and speeds up load times overall.
  • Check if the Page Is Still Loading

Look at Chrome’s address bar next to the back arrow:

If you see an X, the page is still loading.

If you see a refresh arrow, it’s fully loaded.

  • Close Unused Tabs

Too many open tabs can make sites load slower

Copy the text into a Google Doc and run TIMIO there instead.

In rare cases, TIMIO Chrome may break on certain websites. This is due to unusual or unsupported HTML formatting that prevents the extension from properly reading the page.

We're actively improving compatibility—but until then, here's what to know:

  • This is a Technical Limitation, Not Bias
    • If TIMIO doesn't work on a site, it’s due to the site’s structure—not the publisher or topic. We do not block or filter content based on ideology or source.
  • What You Can Do
    • Try copying the article text into a Google Doc or any text editor. Then run TIMIO there—it works just the same.
  • Report the Issue
    • Help us improve. Send the page link to support@timio.news so we can add support for it in future updates.

TIMIO App

Some TIMIO Black members have reported the app getting stuck on the "Welcome to TIMIO Black" screen after purchasing a subscription.

Until we release our patch you can resolve this issue by restarting the app.

AI flags info untrustworthy
for being a
"Future Event"

  • The AI model flags some 2024-2025 events as "unverified" due to training data timing.
  • A fix is in testing and will be deployed in the next release.

Invisible loading symbols in light mode

  • Some loading symbols blend in with the light mode background.
  • A patch is forthcoming; in the meantime, it's recommended to browse in dark mode.

Post-Subscription Screen Delay

  • Some TIMIO Black members experience the app getting stuck on the "Welcome to TIMIO Black" screen after purchasing a subscription.
  • Restarting the app resolves this issue until a patch is released.

"No alternate viewpoints available"

  • The AI tools may display this message when analyzing certain articles.
  • Potential solutions include:
    • Refreshing the app and retrying the analysis.
    • Applying Torch or Pivot to a different section of the article.
    • Accessing the same article through the Chrome Extension for uninterrupted analysis.

  • The extension may request a page refresh when analyzing new websites.
  • Simply refresh the current page to activate TIMIO's analysis tools.
